Naturium Fermented Camellia Creamy Cleansing Oil

Hey everyone!
Today I want to share my thoughts on the Fermented Camellia Creamy Cleansing Oil by Naturium. As a skincare fanatic who loves testing out new cleansers, I was really intrigued by the unique formula and list of nourishing ingredients in this product.

First Impressions & Texture

What immediately caught my attention was the texture. Contrary to what you might expect from a typical cleansing oil, this one comes out of the bottle as a gel but then emulsifies into a lovely milky consistency when you add water. It makes for a really pleasant, spa-like application experience without any heaviness or residue. Plus, there’s no added fragrance, which is always a bonus for those with sensitive noses (or skin).

Key Ingredients

This cleansing oil is packed with beneficial extracts and oils, including:
  • Camellia sinensis (Green Tea) – Rich in antioxidants to help protect the skin.
  • Jojoba oil – Known to mimic skin’s natural sebum for balanced hydration.
  • Salvia hispanica (Chia) seed oil – High in omega-3 fatty acids to help soothe and nourish.
  • Argania spinosa (Argan) extract – Moisturizing properties to keep skin soft and supple.
  • Moringa extract – Helps remove impurities while adding antioxidants to the mix.
  • Melia azadirachta (Neem) extract – Traditionally used for its purifying and calming benefits.

These ingredients help keep the cleanser gentle yet effective, supporting the skin’s natural moisture barrier while removing daily grime.

Performance

Despite being gentle, I was impressed at how thoroughly this cleansing oil removes waterproof sunscreen, makeup, mascara, and more. It effectively breaks down product buildup without stripping or drying out my skin afterward.
If you’re someone who wears heavy makeup daily, this cleanser provides a thorough first cleanse that can be followed by a mild second cleanser if you prefer double cleansing. If you’re more minimal with your routine, it may work well as a standalone cleanser too.

Downside

As much as I enjoyed most aspects of this product, I did notice a significant drawback: it irritates my eyes. Unfortunately, when removing mascara or eyeliner, it caused stinging and discomfort around my eye area. Because of this, I personally won’t be repurchasing it.
However, if you don’t have sensitive eyes, this might not be an issue for you at all.

Final Thoughts

Overall, Naturium Fermented Camellia Creamy Cleansing Oil is:
  • Affordable and easy to incorporate into any routine.
  • Suitable for all skin types—from dry to oily—given its gentle, non-drying formula.
  • Effective at removing stubborn makeup, SPF, and daily buildup.
  • Fragrance-free, which is great for those sensitive to scents.

The only caveat is the potential for eye irritation. If you have sensitive eyes like I do, you may want to proceed with caution or avoid using it directly around the eyes.
